No, im not talking about paranormal phenomenon.
Its the Final Project for ESP class and i somehow forced to create a blog for it.
how can this happen?
first off im going to explain the essence of ESP by ripping it of from wikipedia.
ESP:
English for Specific Purposes (ESP), not to be confused with specialized English, is a sphere of teaching English language including Business English, Technical English, Scientific English, English for medical professionals, English for waiters, English for tourism, English for Art Purposes, etc.Aviation English as ESP is taught to pilots, air traffic controllers and civil aviation cadets who are going to use it in radio communications. ESP can be also considered as an avatar of language for specific purposes.
ESP is taught in many universities of the world. Many professional associations of teachers of English (TESOL, IATEFL) have ESP sections. Much attention is devoted to ESP course design.[4][5] ESP teaching has much in common with English as a Foreign or Second Language and English for Academic Purposes (EAP). Quickly developing Business English can be considered as part of a larger concept of English for Specific Purposes.
My class got Specialized to use ESP as Hotel Specific english or,
Tourism ESP: Whether you work in a hotel in Dubai, a restaurant in Paris, or a resort in Bangkok, chances are that you will have to speak English to some of your customers. This ESP is for anyone who works in restaurants, hotels, cafes, airports, and anywhere else where you might have to talk to customers in English.
But, during Final project, Students decides wheter they choose many assignment, somewhat unrelated to any Hotel activities.
Unfortunately, or fortunely, i (with my ill-fated friend who decided join my project) choose Comic instead. bad move budy.
The project is actually simple, really. we just have to make 20 page of comic with english language without any Hotel ESP related Theme.
This is Where my final project went downhill.
Since we are fan of Anime and Manga (or otaku if you prefer) we decided to make 4koma (4 panel each page) gag manga. it's simple, funny, and easy to draw. we are like "Time to finish this comic early!...Nah, we still got about 4 weeks to finish it. let's do it tomorow" Attitude.
The main problem is, these 4 weeks is also where The Final Exam for this semester started. so many assignment and study for Final.
The ESP project progress? it's only about 15% finished.
ever heard about development hell? well, it's a "state wherein an announced creative project becomes stuck at the preparation stage for years" Situation.
The abandoned 4koma Project:
The story itself is centered around the daily life of average college Student and his sister overbearing their bizarre apartment neighborhood's antics.
Sadly, this project were buried by many School assignments and other projects.
With that,
i Started this Blog for exchange the failed comic project.
And That's How This Blog were Born!
No wonder it's have many grammar disorder and misspelled words.
